Job description

Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports (“Linck”) Early Developmental Support Worker Positions

Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports (“Linck”) is seeking four (4) contract, full-time (70 hours bi-weekly) Early Developmental Support Worker(s). The positions will commence on June 23, 2025, and conclude on August 29, 2025.

Hours of work may include:

  • Before school programming
  • Day programming
  • After school programming

Incumbents may be scheduled in any of these shifts or a combination of them. The worker will provide preventative and intervention services to children in a childcare environment to support children with physical, cognitive, behavioural, or emotional challenges, aiding their integration into the childcare program. Travel to various licensed childcare locations throughout the municipality of Chatham-Kent may be required.

Salary Range: Pay Grid 9, $22.38—$28.43 per hour.

Qualifications:
  • Early Childhood Education diploma, Developmental Services Worker diploma, Educational Assistant/Support diploma, Practical Nursing diploma, or related post-secondary education.
  • Up to three (3) months of related experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the public and staff.
  • Courtesy and tact in interactions with clients and staff.
  • Computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset.
  • Lifting may be required.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures, heritages, and traditions, and a commitment to providing culturally-appropriate services, will be considered an asset.
