Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board invites applications for the position of:

Teacher – Long Term Occasional (LTO)

Location: St. Joseph-Scollard Hall

Position Details: 1.0 FTE (Three Sections)

• Grade 9 Religion – HRE1O
• Grade 10 Locally-Developed English – ENG2L
• Grade 12 Business Leadership – BOH4M

Effective immediately until approximately June 2, 2025, but not beyond June 27, 2025.

Requirements:

1. Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division.
2. Basic qualifications to teach in the Senior Division - Business.
3. Honours degree and/or subject qualification(s) in the specified or related subject areas are considered an asset.
4. Special Education Part I qualification is an asset.
5. Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed division and subject area.
6. Experience with student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, G-Suite tools, and EDSBY.
7. Knowledge of effective instructional and assessment practices to support student learning.
8. Commitment to integrating technology in instruction and fostering innovation and creativity.
9. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning and collaboration, including participation in school-based PLCs, department meetings, co-planning, and co-teaching.
10. Ability to utilize differentiated instructional approaches supporting well-being, equity, and inclusion.
11. Proven classroom management skills.
12. Ability to implement a shared vision aligned with Catholic education principles and Catholic Graduate Expectations.
13. Flexibility to teach other subject areas as needed.
14. Willingness to assume extra-curricular duties.
15. Familiarity with the school community.
