Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic invites applications for the position of:

TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

ST. JOSEPH-SCOLLARD HALL

1.0 (Three Sections)

Grade 9 Religion – HRE1O

Grade 10 Locally-Developed English – ENG2L

Grade 12 Business Leadership – BOH4M

Effective immediately

Until approximately June 2, 2025, but not to extend beyond June 27, 2025

Requirements:

· Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division

· Basic qualifications to teach in the Senior Division - Business

· Honours degree and/or subject qualification(s) in the specified or related subject areas would be considered an asset

· Special Education Part I would be considered an asset.

· Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed division and subject area.

· Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents.

· Demonstrated knowledge of how students learn effectively with a repertoire of proven instructional and assessment practices.

· Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner.

· Commitment to ongoing professional learning and collaboration around the school’s Student Achievement Plan through school-based PLC’s, department meetings, co-planning and co-teaching.

· Knowledge, experience and proven ability in utilizing differentiated instructional approaches within the classroom that support well-being, equity and inclusion.

· Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies.

· Ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic education and integrating the Catholic Graduate Expectations within the curriculum.

· Flexibility to be assigned in other subject areas as the need arises.

· Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties.

· Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school community.
