Vacancy: SHE Manager

Company: Established and impressive food manufacturing business (FMCG)

Location: Sudbury, South West Suffolk

Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 per annum + up to £11,050 per annum car allowance, 12% bonus, and other benefits

Overview of the position:

• Understand and promote the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental values, encouraging stakeholders to go beyond compliance and pursue continuous improvement.
• Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications; coach, mentor, and train management to take ownership of SHE responsibilities.
• Lead and develop a team of two SHE professionals based onsite.
• Support and oversee the onsite security team to ensure compliance and site integrity.
• Assess current SHE needs, prioritize projects, and identify future challenges and opportunities for site evolution.
• Support the implementation of the Environmental Management System.
• Develop and enhance site SHE programs to ensure compliance and improve performance.
• Regularly audit compliance and assess performance, using results to drive further improvements.
• Engage confidently with external stakeholders to build long-term, positive relationships.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous SHE management experience, including coaching and mentoring direct reports.
• Ability to support the site strategically and be hands-on operationally.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments, ideally within food or beverage sectors.
