An established educational institution is seeking enthusiastic Student Mentors for its Summer Learning Programs. Temporary – up to 15 positions available
All positions will be available subject to budget approval and student enrolment.
The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is seeking applications for up to 15 Student Mentors for the 2025 Summer Learning Programs. Reporting to the Summer Learning Program Coordinator and Site Supervisor, the successful candidates will support elementary-aged students in early reading, mathematics, assistive technology, and multilingual learners through small-group or individualized learning instructional opportunities. Successful candidates will assist with planning, facilitating, and documenting student learning across elementary subjects while supporting teachers in instruction and assessment.
The Student Mentor program is intended for students enrolled in a post-secondary program (college, university, apprenticeship, etc.), especially those interested in pursuing a career in education.
In 2025, Summer Learning Programs will include both in-person and online formats. All educational staff, including Student Mentors, are expected to work in-person at locations in Barrie, Wasaga Beach, and Orillia.

Salary Range: $21.00 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
Date / Hours: July 3-4, 2025 (training), and July 7-25, 2025 (program hours)
