Position: Trainer

The core responsibilities of this role include: providing administrative and practical hands-on training to both new and current associates, primarily on stand-up counterbalance equipment.

Becoming a subject matter expert in all aspects of an associate's job functions, including: loading/unloading trailers, picking fulls or cases by hand up to 50 lbs, managing transfer machines, and other support tasks as needed.

The trainer should not only teach theory but also have firsthand knowledge of how tasks are performed efficiently and be capable of performing them personally.

Shift and Compensation

Shift: Mainly Monday - Saturday, 9am - 5pm, but flexibility is required based on training needs.

Pay: $24.50 per hour.

Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience
  • At least 1 year operating stand-up counterbalance forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • Minimum 6 months managing or training staff.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities

Purpose: Training and evaluating associates on MHE and classroom instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Present training effectively to associates.
  • Evaluate associates' RPM on ramp-up forms and develop success steps.
  • Assist in creating work reference guides.
  • Conduct initial and cross-training for associates and external workers.
  • Support operations as needed.
  • Certify associates for MHE.
  • Participate in the YOBE process.
  • Create system logins for associates.
  • Update on company goals and procedures.
  • Identify training needs and conduct BBS observations.
  • Participate in Safety Committee activities.
Required Education & Experience
  • Related technical experience, including MHE operation (sit-down forklift, pallet jack, stand-up forklift, reach truck, clamp, slip, scrubber preferred).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
