Reporting to the Manager, Solution Design, Learning & Performance Enablement, the Instructional Design Specialist designs, develops, implements, and maintains innovative learning solutions to build field leader and advisor capabilities. This includes onboarding, learning on new technologies, products, sales, operations, and compliance processes for key corporate initiatives.

What You Will Do

1. Consult with business partners and Learning Strategy Consultants to understand learning needs and develop learning contracts that meet objectives and measure impact.
2. Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop learning content, simplifying material for various projects.
3. Create professional learning materials such as online courses, digital resources, videos, job aids, coaching guides, and facilitated session materials using advanced authoring tools.
4. Design engaging learning activities, questions, and resources to enhance content retention and success.
5. Coordinate with corporate teams to develop and communicate production schedules for timely delivery.
6. Manage review processes, follow up with reviewers, and document steps for audits.
7. Maintain organized digital files according to team standards.

What You Will Bring

1. Experience in assessing needs and developing corporate learning programs.
2. Understanding of adult learning principles; post-secondary education in Education or Adult Education preferred.
3. Proficiency with e-learning tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Brainshark, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Vyond, MS Office.
4. Creative problem-solving skills in designing learning resources.
5. Knowledge of Canada Life’s businesses is an asset.
6. Strong consultation and influencing skills across teams.
7. Ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple projects in an agile environment.
8. Excellent communication and organizational skills; knowledge of accessibility best practices is a plus.

The base salary ranges from $52,800 to $92,800 annually, excluding variable compensation components. Further details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
