Tenure-Track Faculty, Division of Respirology and Sleep Medicine

Position Overview

The Division of Respirology and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position, with rank commensurate to qualifications, focusing on Asthma research.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead and contribute to research initiatives related to asthma, including basic, clinical, population-based, and community-based research.
  2. Develop and sustain an independent research program, including securing external funding.
  3. Engage in teaching, supervising, and mentoring students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
  4. Participate in departmental, division, and university activities, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.
  5. Conduct implementation science and translational research to enhance the division's research presence.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a health-related field with at least 2 years post-doctoral research experience in respiratory medicine.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in laboratory techniques relevant to respiratory research.
  • Experience in grant writing, research project leadership, and publication record.
  • Knowledge of asthma pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy, with preferred experience in bronchoprovocation, FeNO, sputum induction, and related methods.
  • Connections to respiratory research communities in Canada are advantageous.
