About This Opportunity

If you are an energetic, enthusiastic Kinesiologist seeking growth, CBI Health offers an excellent opportunity to meet your career goals within one of Canada's largest healthcare networks. Our Red Deer Hospital Side Clinic is looking for a full-time Registered Kinesiologist to join our interdisciplinary team. This role involves using your exercise therapy skills to achieve clinical outcomes and client engagement, helping clients return to work and daily activities at all rehabilitation stages.

Daily Responsibilities

1. Treat Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), LTD, WCB, and private clients in a gym setting.
2. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on treatment planning and management.
3. Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs tailored to client needs.
4. Conduct employer assessments such as Physical Demands Analysis (PDA), Post Offer Employment Testing (POET), and Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE) to assess job capabilities.
5. Prepare progress and discharge reports delegated by the treating clinician.
6. Assist with return-to-work planning.
7. Maintain a safe, organized, and presentable gym environment.

Qualifications for Success

1. A university degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics.
2. Active membership or eligibility to join the Alberta Kinesiology Association (AKA).
3. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
4. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
6. Empathy and rapport-building skills with patients.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exceeding client goals.
