ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Show an awareness and ability to use scripting, automation tools and software that are available and currently in use.
  2. Build, configure, administer, and support network infrastructure technologies and solutions, including networking, computing, storage, physical infrastructure, and software.
  3. Maintain the security, confidentiality, and integrity of information systems through compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  4. Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical issues, ensuring solutions meet business requirements. Take full accountability for actions and decisions.
  5. Identify and analyze problems, classify and prioritize them, document causes, and implement remedies.
  6. Design network specifications to meet business needs, translating problems into technical solutions, exploring different approaches, and visualizing user service improvements.
  7. Demonstrate knowledge of relevant technologies, stay informed of industry developments, and apply this knowledge to utilize new tools and technologies effectively.
  8. Support service delivery by implementing solutions according to specifications and deadlines.
  9. Document all technical solutions where relevant and necessary.
  10. Implement monitoring and alerting solutions across infrastructure for proactive and reactive support.
  11. Be available for out-of-hours project activities and on-call support.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki Switches and Wi-Fi, Barracuda WAFs, Azure networking (LBs, vnets, peering, UDRs, service endpoints, landing zones, etc.), Azure vWAN, DNS.
  2. Extensive experience with cloud networking.
  3. Experience with IaaS and PaaS cloud services.
  4. Azure DevOps configurations and deployment of cloud networking components and devices such as PAs and Barracuda WAFs.
Skills & Knowledge
  1. Ability to provide training on networking concepts and technologies to team members.
  2. Quick understanding of complex network topologies and ability to document them effectively.
  3. Design and deliver complex networking solutions to support projects.
