Job Description
Purpose of the Position: This is a mission-driven, student-centered position. The role is pivotal in delivering a high-quality student experience, executing operational goals, and guiding the campus through a period of strategic transformation. As the senior-most leader on campus, the Director is responsible for building and developing high-performing teams, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring students receive the support and care needed to thrive. The Campus Director leads with empathy, urgency, and accountability, aligning with institutional goals for persistence, retention, and program outcomes. This role reports directly to Regional and Executive leadership and acts as the central point of accountability for all non-academic campus operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead campus staffing and engagement by hiring, developing, and retaining a motivated, high-performing team.
- Oversee day-to-day campus operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and readiness to support students and faculty.
- Drive enrollment, retention, and persistence goals in partnership with Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Persistence.
- Support the student experience across the lifecycle—from first contact to graduation—by fostering a culture of proactive service and accountability.
- Manage campus budget and financial performance, including oversight of key operating costs and coordination with finance and HR partners.
- Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, maintaining strong readiness practices in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with academic and national leadership to implement key initiatives, support faculty needs, and align local execution with national strategy.
- Maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming campus environment that supports Unitek’s hybrid return-to-campus model.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and serve as the central liaison between campus staff and national/regional support teams.
- Champion student outcomes and satisfaction, working collaboratively to track KPIs and implement continuous improvements.
- Model leadership, professionalism, and service, reinforcing Unitek’s values in every interaction with staff, students, and external partners.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Education, or an equivalent field (Required).
- A Master’s degree in Business, Education, or an equivalent field is preferred.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role, with proven experience leading in a multi-function operational or campus-based environment.
- Strong people leadership and team development skills.
- Ability to balance urgency with empathy in a fast-moving, student-first culture.
- Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards in higher education or allied health.
- Comfort with ambiguity, change leadership, and data-informed decision-making.
- Commitment to educational access, student outcomes, and community impact.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Pay Range
$108,000 - $127,000, depending on Campus Director experience within for-profit education.
Additional Qualifications
- A successful background in admissions, enrollment management, and/or student services management is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated successful managerial experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
