Job description

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the IT services are maintained in line with Pulsar Measurement standards and procedures. This is a key role in strengthening and maintaining the IT security, resilience, and uptime, supporting the demands of a busy manufacturing and back-office environment. Additionally, the role includes providing support for the ERP system and end-users.

Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Acting as the first point of contact for North American facilities and supporting remotely for Pulsar UK and Asia.
  • Providing advanced hardware support and troubleshooting IT issues related to PCs, printers, mobile devices, telephony, Windows servers, software, and network connectivity.
  • Implementing and managing IT security solutions such as RMM, antivirus, multi-factor authentication, and spam filters.
  • Managing user provisioning, access control, and administration of Active Directory, Office 365, and other SaaS applications.
  • Managing disaster recovery solutions, including backups' configuration, monitoring, reporting, and validation.
  • Sharing knowledge on the latest IT & security developments for Pulsar's adoption.
  • Engaging with third-party IT providers to optimize costs, uptime, and service levels.
  • Supporting IT projects and change management, planning and managing local change initiatives.
  • Managing communications related to business applications administration.
  • Handling IT equipment logistics, inventory, and lifecycle management on-site.
  • Coordinating with HR on onboarding and offboarding IT equipment for employees.
  • Assisting end-users with ERP system functions.

Position Requirements :

  • A degree in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Supporting business applications.
  • Administering Microsoft Server 2019 - Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows Platforms.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Advanced Epicor knowledge and experience (advantageous).
  • Hypervisor experience (VMWARE or Microsoft).

Preferred Qualifications :

A degree in IT or equivalent experience.

Computer Skills :

Proven experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Server 2019 - Active Directory, MS Windows platforms, Epicor, and hypervisors.

Travel :

Travel may be domestic or international, based on demand, including regions, factories, offices, customer locations, and suppliers.

Working Conditions :

Sitting and standing for periods, working at a computer monitor, with 25-35% travel expected annually, both domestic and international. Office environment with occasional trips to other company offices.
