Qualifications

  • 2+ years relevant experience with hands-on experience working on LV or HV circuit preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows operating system is required.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and ability to read and interpret electrical schematics is required.

Job description

The High Voltage Test Lab Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance of high voltage products and test equipment. They also oversee the safety, training, and deployment of the department’s workforce. They are responsible for the tasks required to fully operate the test programs and stations as per required test standards.

Your Tasks :

  • Ability to work as a leader in a team and collaborate with various departments to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Responsible for the safety of test technicians and test equipment.
  • Prepare test reports that include a summary of the test procedures, data, and results.
  • Communicate results effectively to engineers and other departments.
  • Create and develop test procedures and protocols for high voltage tests, with a strong understanding of ISO 17025 and proactive contribution to the requirements.
  • Check, arrange, and record the equipment calibration.
  • Guide visiting inspectors when in the lab to witness testing.
  • Evaluate test results and assess the performance of the equipment under test.
  • Responsible for training the lab technicians and coaching all team members in their role and performance goals to achieve operational plans and targets.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of various electrical problems, resolve them, and update test equipment plan.
  • Guide lab team actions and strategies in line with our management philosophy of team autonomy, versatility, flexibility, teamwork, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Support the team in achieving daily production quotas and order and maintain shop supplies and tool inventories.
  • Ensuring the right resources are available to meet projected workload and delivery on quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Focus the team on efficiency in procedures, lean / 5S and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manage communication to cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain) including requirements definition, escalation, status reporting, personnel, resource, financial, and schedule management.
  • Implement preventive / corrective actions, stay updated on the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment, proactive review of risk assessment and procedures.

Requirements :

  • Community College diploma in Electrical / Electronic or associate’s electrical certification is required.
  • Knowledge of high voltage products and production processes preferable. 2+ years relevant experience with hands-on experience working on LV or HV circuit preferred.
  • Experience using test instruments such as Impedance Analyzer, Voltage Breakdown Tester, Power Wattmeter & Micro Ohmmeter is preferable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows operating system is required. Familiarity with LabView and other industry-wide lab software would strongly be preferred.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and ability to read and interpret electrical schematics is required.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to leadership development with the capacity to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Critical thinking and knowledge in electromagnetic theory and circuit analysis is required.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in English including demonstrated ability to follow verbal / written instructions and complete technical paperwork when needed. Able to work on a shift rotation as required.
