Job description

Store - NEW MINAS, NS

Deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and help them find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers experience a fast and friendly checkout. Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store, including maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises.

  1. Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
  2. Provide a quick and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling according to standards.
  3. Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments.
  4. Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
  5. Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  6. Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  7. Ensure merchandise recovery and maintenance, including return/go back process and store recovery to keep the store well-merchandised and in-stock.
  8. Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  9. Support shrink and safety programs.
  10. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure legal compliance; execute policies and standards.
  11. Interact respectfully with others, remain positive even in difficult situations, promote the organization’s vision and values, and serve as a role model for team members.
  12. Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.
  • If assistance is needed to perform essential functions, contact your supervisor for reasonable accommodation.
  • Work environment includes climate-controlled public retail areas, some non-climate-controlled stock rooms, outdoor work for tasks like retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks, and a frame shop with glass cutting and heat press. Work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
