Join to apply for the Service Team Member role at Michaels Stores.

Store Location: NEW MINAS, NS

Deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties, maintain store recovery standards, and support various operational processes.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Helping customers locate products and providing solutions
  2. Executing cash handling and checkout procedures
  3. Promoting and enrolling customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards
  4. Educating customers on VOC surveys
  5. Supporting Omni channel processes like BOPIS and SFS
  6. Participating in truck unload, stocking, and planogram setup
  7. Completing merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  8. Performing Store In Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  9. Supporting shrink and safety programs
  10. Adhering to SOPs, policies, and legal requirements
  11. Promoting a respectful, positive work environment and serving as a role model
  12. Cross-training in Custom Framing sales and production
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
  • Standing for long periods, moving throughout the store, lifting, bending, reaching
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves with equipment
  • Work may include nights, weekends, outdoor tasks, and climate-controlled or non-controlled areas

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and meet legal requirements in Canada.
