We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team; this position will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. This role involves supporting and enhancing NAIT’s Budget and Forecast system, working with various departments. The ideal candidate has an analytical mind and can think independently to support and improve budgeting and forecasting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update user access requests within Oracle’s EPM, maintaining MS Forms and SharePoint.
  • Perform monthly metadata updates, import actuals from Peoplesoft Finance and HR, verify workforce data loads, identify errors, and collaborate with ITS for reconciliation.
  • Develop, maintain, and prepare financial reports and materials; conduct presentations on budgets and forecasts to meet business needs.
  • Act as the primary contact for queries, issues, and concerns related to the budget system.
  • Develop and document processes to support efficient workflows and compliance with financial policies.
  • Collaborate on ad-hoc projects and support the implementation and improvement of NAIT’s budget and forecast tools.

Skills & Abilities

  • Effective time management and workload balancing skills for handling busy budget and forecast seasons.
  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft, Oracle EPM, Workday, Adaptive Planning for data updates and system support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint for reporting and user management.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work independently on projects.
  • Diplomatic communication skills for engaging stakeholders and resolving issues.
  • Strong presentation skills and attention to detail for accurate reporting and data reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of related experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commute to the NAIT campus, with occasional on-site attendance required.

Applicants with international credentials should have them evaluated by WES or IQAS.

Remuneration

68,058.90 - $90,169.56 annually, plus benefits.
