We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Team Lead to lead the growth of their ML team over the next few years. Reporting directly to the Director of ML, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a small team of ML engineers and data scientists while working on high-impact projects that shape the company’s logistics strategies. • Develop and deploy ML models across various logistics-focused applications, including pricing optimization, customer behavior analytics, and real-time predictive insights.
  • Oversee the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, from data preparation and model training to production deployment and monitoring.
  • Implement MLOps best practices, ensuring scalable, efficient, and reproducible ML workflows.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Product, and Business Intelligence to align ML solutions with business objectives.
  • Stay up to date with emerging ML technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance model performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure ML models are well-documented, explainable, and aligned with regulatory compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and other ML frameworks.
  • Experience deploying ML models in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Expertise in MLOps principles including CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring, and automated retraining.
  • Strong experience in data processing pipelines and feature engineering using tools such as Spark, Airflow, or dbt.
  • Familiarity with real-time analytics and predictive modeling.
  • Experience working in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex ML solutions into business impact.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary & benefits package.
  • Fully remote role with occasional office visits to Toronto.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a growing ML team in a global logistics company.
  • Access to cutting-edge technology and data-driven projects with real-world impact.
  • A collaborative and innovative company culture that values continuous learning and growth.
