Pursuing a career as Managing Director & Team Lead within National Bank’s Tech Banking group means being at the heart of the group's growth activities. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the growth strategy for the portfolio of business clients. Through your leadership, you will mobilize a team of banking experts, specialized in the tech industry, who provide advice, support, and specialized financial services for innovative companies across Canada.

Your Role:

  • Mobilize and coach your team members to increase engagement, retention, and talent development.
  • Define and execute the growth strategy for the business portfolio.
  • Anticipate the development needs of your teams based on the Bank's strategic directions and sectors, and prepare succession plans.
  • Ensure maximum visibility of the Bank in the market by organizing and participating in business development activities and market events.
  • Stay alert to sector trends and innovations to guide the team on business priorities.
  • Innovate in processes, products, and sector-specific modalities to create capacity and offer standout solutions.
  • Develop new business niches and territories, and define sales and development strategies aligned with the Bank's directions.

Your Team:

Within the Commercial Banking sector, you will be part of a team of dozens of colleagues, reporting to the Head of Technology and Innovation Banking. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree related to the sector with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Management, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Extensive experience in corporate lending structures, tech lending, and banking.
  • Expertise in complex financing structures and risk analysis for companies at various growth stages.
  • Strong negotiation experience.
  • Mastery of the tech ecosystem, with a robust network of players, advisors, and sponsors.
