Title: Enterprise Architect - Senior

Location: Edmonton, Alberta, T6B 2X3 (work from the office 3 days a week)

Duration: 12 Months + 12 Months possible extension

Job Description:

This role is responsible for understanding and describing the Health System and translating it into an overall architecture vision, strategy, and a set of architecture principles. This includes active communication and promotion of the vision, strategy, and principles. The role also involves defining the enterprise architecture framework to avoid redundancy, ensure integrated and cost-effective solutions, and provide a common foundation for all system, service, and infrastructure developments.

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study.

Work Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in documenting application architectures in an enterprise IT environment similar in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
• At least 5 years of experience in planning, designing, implementing, and supporting platform solutions in an enterprise IT environment similar in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
• At least 5 years of experience leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience working in IT within the Healthcare industry.
• At least 2 years of experience providing strategic advice on organizational structure, roles, and skillsets for successful public sector outcomes.
• At least 2 years of experience with data integration between clinical applications in the Canadian eHealth environment.
• At least 2 years of experience contributing to or developing application architecture standards and guidelines.
• At least 2 years of experience with Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).
• At least 2 years of experience in drafting strategic business and technical documentation, including written and verbal communications.
