Role

Your Impact You’ll play a key role in uncovering opportunity, shaping strategy, and showcasing how Descartes’ Global Trade Compliance solutions transform businesses. Specifically, you will :

• Engage with senior executives and operations teams to identify challenges and map out solution strategies that drive real results.
• Lead discovery sessions to understand customer needs and align business outcomes with our solutions.
• Collaborate with both IT and business stakeholders to design feasible, scalable solutions.
• Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and proposals that move deals forward.
• Partner with sales and product teams to respond to RFx documents and shape winning value propositions.
• Continuously track competitive threats and market shifts to stay ahead.
• Champion the capabilities of our Global Trade Compliance portfolio—from Import / Export Compliance and FTZs to Restricted Party Screening.
• Contribute to innovation by working closely with Product, Marketing, and Professional Services.

What You Bring

• A strong track record in solution selling, ideally in logistics or trade compliance.
• Hands-on experience with global trade compliance solutions : Import / Export Compliance, FTAs, FTZ, RPS, etc.
• A consultative mindset—able to connect dots, see the big picture, and communicate it clearly.
• Strong business and technical acumen, and an innate curiosity to solve complex challenges.
• 5–7 years of experience in presales, product marketing, or product management in this space.
• Proficiency in analyzing and modeling business data to support recommendations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills—comfortable presenting to C-level audiences.
• Confidence working in both remote and in-person settings.

Location & Travel : This is a remote opportunity, open to applicants authorized to work in Canada or the United States and will be required to t ravel up to 25–30% for customer and prospect meetings. We are a global organization using English as a primary language, job descriptions and communication available in the local languages where required.

Salary Range : $120,000 to $140,000 CAD Base plus commission “Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.”
