This position will serve as a Senior Project Contracts Manager on medium to large-sized EPC / EPCM projects.

Day to day duties include :

  • Promote a collaborative environment : with open communication, and serve as a project member in the formulation of plans and the execution of overall contract management activity. Lead efforts in planning, perform critical project contractor negotiations, and execute specialized contracts management functions.
  • Develop contracts management activities : including overall project contracting strategy, individual contracts strategies, RFP development, evaluation and award strategies, change management, claim prevention / mitigation, and project close-out.
  • Perform claim reviews : conduct senior-level claim evaluations, negotiations, and settlements.
  • Supervise contracts management team : provide general and direct supervision.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures : perform activities in accordance with business acumen, Fluor Operating System Requirements (OSR), and established plans and policies.
  • Stay informed : keep the SBU president’s direct reports updated on contracts management matters.
  • Oversee contract management process : from pre-award through close-out, including claims and back charges, in line with PEP and PPM.
  • Support bid evaluation : assist in preparing bid evaluation plans for large RFPs and participate in technical and commercial evaluations.
  • Ensure quality : of RFP packages and contract documents.
  • Manage interfaces : with various departments including Project Management, Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and others.
  • Protect interests : enforce warranties, mitigate risks, and oversee contract management team activities.

Additional duties may include :

  • Providing training, mentoring, and coaching to staff.
  • Supporting proposal development and strategic sales strategies.
  • Formulating contracting strategies for individual contracts.
  • Conducting resource surveys and risk assessments.
  • Implementing system, process, and procedural changes.
  • Assessing resource needs and managing budgets.
  • Reviewing and approving award recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
