Job description

Position Requirements

• Summer Production Student, $20.00 per hour, overtime after 44 hours/week
• All employment conditions will follow the Employment Standards Act, 2000
• Set schedule for the whole summer, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work days:
• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Duties

• Operate equipment and complete checks to ensure compliance with production, process, and quality specifications
• Observe panel indicators, gauges, and other instruments to detect equipment and/or product issues
• Record and adhere to quality specifications related to weight, colour, and functionality requirements
• Assist with heat breaks within Production as part of the Company’s Heat Stress Awareness program
• Perform additional duties as required by supervision, in compliance with relevant legislation and safety procedures

Ideal Candidate

• 18 years of age, with a completed Grade 12
• Previous manufacturing experience is an asset; able to work safely and productively
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and performing repetitive movements
• Good communication skills, able to work as part of a team and cooperate with colleagues in a shift of 35+ people
• Reliable with a positive attitude
