Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a college or University program.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• No previous experience required - training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling raw meat and orienting products on conveyor belts.
• Removing filled containers from conveyors.
• Packing meat into cartons, bags, or other containers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow health and safety regulations and adhere to food safety standards.
• Performing any other required general labor duties.

Working Conditions:

• Physical Effort: Almost all the time is spent standing in the same position or walking. Some requirements to lift/handle material or equipment of moderate weight.
• Physical Environment: Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and toxic materials that cause periods of extreme discomfort and/or moderate risk of accident or illness.
• Sensory Attention: Regular needs to give close attention, either hearing or seeing what is happening.
• Mental Stress: There is some modest pressure from deadlines or other productivity standards. Work is somewhat repetitious.
