Responsibilities

The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for performing a wide variety of payroll activities, including ensuring accuracy and compliance of proper internal control payroll processes. The job involves conducting root cause analysis to identify payroll systems problems/issues. Responsible for maintaining payroll systems audit monthly, quarterly or as required. The job may also assist with external payroll audit requests, implementations of current or new acquisitions, researching laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll procedures as needed.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  1. High school diploma.
  2. A minimum of 5 years Hospital Payroll experience.
  3. General accounting background.
  4. Hands-on experience with Excel or equivalent.
  5. Experience with JBDev/Kronos or similar timekeeping system.
  6. Some knowledge of ADP preferred.
  7. Knowledge of Wage and Hour Guidelines and Healthcare pay practices.
  8. Knowledge of payroll dictionary set up.
  9. Hands-on experience with payroll taxes.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Hands-on experience with audits for 401k, DOL, W/C preferred.
  2. Multi-state knowledge of payroll laws preferred.
  3. Some knowledge of ADP preferred.
  4. Experience with union collective bargaining agreements and protocols preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $32.00 to $41.51. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
