A leading organization is seeking a Marketing Assistant for the Windscape Kite Festival. This contract role requires creativity and organization to support event promotion. Location: Swift Current (remote and on-site as needed)
Position Overview:We are seeking a creative, organized, and adaptable Marketing Assistant to support the promotion of two of Swift Current’s signature events. This contract role is structured to start with light onboarding and preparation tasks, ramp up into full-time festival support, and conclude with a wrap-up phase.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, social media savvy, skilled in content creation (photo, video, and writing), and ready to work on-site during event week.
Key Responsibilities:You will need to have the hardware and software necessary to meet industry technical standards.
Contract Timeline: May 13 – June 28, 2025 (7 Weeks Total)
Start Date: May 13, 2025
Festival Dates: June 19–22, 2025
Wrap-Up Week: June 24–28, 2025
Proposed Schedule (but not limited to)
Week 1 (Light Start) May 13–18
Onboarding, branding review, early social content scheduling, website intro, account logins. 10 hrs
Week 2 (Light PT) May 19–25
Start planning and drafting emails and social media posts, radio scripts & voicing. 12 hrs
Week 3 (Part-Time) May 26– June 1
Contesting and promotions, events, e-newsletter, begin light video edits. 18 hrs
Week 4 (Mid-Ramp) June 2–8
Draft and schedule socials, finalize artist & activity content, media coordination. 25 hrs
Week 5 (Full-Time) June 9–15
Festival countdown, heavy social, ticket promo, asset prep, photo/video edits, sponsor posts. 35 hrs
Week 6 (Full Festival) June 16–23
On-site content capture, stories, reels, press support, coverage uploads. 60 hrs
Week 7 (Wrap-Up) June 24–28
Thank-you posts, engagement stats, reports, photo archiving, testimonial gathering & survey feedback. 20 hrs
