The Senior Contract Management Specialist in Global Site Contracting / Clinical Development Operations may be responsible for ensuring the timely and appropriate execution of Clinical Study Agreements, Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements, Master Clinical Study Agreements, Investigator Initiated Study Agreements, Facility Use Agreements, and other site-related agreements, along with associated budgets and service provider agreements linked to CSAs. The role involves collaboration with R&D business teams, Clinical Development Operations, Finance, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and external parties. The specialist will draft, negotiate, and execute agreements, ensuring final contracts are delivered on time, within Fair Market Value, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards. The SSCM acts as a contract management expert within the organization, mentors colleagues, and drives process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely preparation and execution of CSAs, CDAs, budgets, and vendor agreements. Serve as the point person for legal, finance, and CDO in assigned regions.
  • Negotiate agreements and budgets with investigator sites, utilizing templates and guidance, and liaising with legal for approval of changes.
  • Contribute to the update of legal and budget playbooks and templates.
  • Track CSAs, CDAs, and related documentation per company requirements.
  • Manage priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders, escalating issues diplomatically.
  • Lead process improvement projects and serve as a subject matter expert in contract management.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship within the team.
  • Partner with country managers to ensure effective contract management and issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in healthcare, business, legal, or scientific fields.
  • At least 5 years of clinical research or contract/budget experience, with understanding of compliance and regulatory issues.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and business skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills, fluency in English and local language if applicable.
  • Proactive team player capable of working under ambiguity and change.
  • Experience in management and financial analysis is a plus.
