Job Description

The Production Manager's primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience by leading and managing workflow through effective utilization of the workforce. The role involves maintaining quality standards in the repair facility, ensuring delivery target dates are met, and working collaboratively with team members to achieve KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  2. Plan daily production schedules to maximize efficiency and meet cycle time goals.
  3. Conduct production meetings to communicate priorities.
  4. Perform in-process quality control checks to uphold company standards.
  5. Identify and resolve quality issues or delays promptly.
  6. Perform final quality inspections before vehicle delivery to customers.
  7. Other duties may be assigned.

The Production Manager ensures vehicles are repaired on time, exceeding Boyd Auto Body's quality standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in collision repair or similar roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask under pressure.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to give directions within a team setting.
  • Ability to interpret work scope from estimates or work orders.
  • Customer service orientation and strong organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle repair practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.

The Production Manager is committed to representing Boyd Auto Body positively at all times.

Additional Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Physical ability to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift over 50 lbs.
  • Working towards I-Car Gold Class certification.
