McInnes Cooper is seeking a motivated and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Corporate Legal Support Services team in our Sydney office in a full-time, permanent role. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support to a group of corporate lawyers within an innovative team support model, ensuring all clients receive the highest level of service.

As a Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting the daily functions of our corporate and general practice groups in a team environment;
  2. Ensuring efficient organization of lawyers' practices and exceeding client expectations;
  3. Sharing ideas, learning from colleagues, and contributing your skills and knowledge;
  4. Challenging yourself and your team daily while maintaining a positive and fun work environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • A Paralegal or Legal Administration diploma or related qualification;
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal; experience in corporate law and commercial transactions is a plus;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an interest in adopting new technologies;
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment, with high attention to detail and adaptability to changing priorities;
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on client service and professionalism;
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working collaboratively.
