Rogers Communications is seeking an IT Solution Delivery Manager to lead the planning and delivery of projects supporting the Rogers Business unit. Reporting to a Sr. Mgr, Solution Delivery within Business IT, you will be responsible for leading the effective delivery of solutions that meet key business needs.
What you will do :
- Collaborate with Rogers Business teams including Business Systems, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service Operations, and Planning to manage scope within budget and timeline constraints, develop IT solutions, and create realistic delivery plans. Engage in trade-off and feasibility discussions as needed.
- Work with IT Demand Management to assemble project teams from Architecture, Infrastructure, Information Security, PMO, Application Development (both waterfall and agile), Testing, and Operations for successful project delivery.
- Represent business stakeholders in IT discussions and vice versa, ensuring alignment and understanding.
- Contribute to solution design processes through JAD sessions and reviews.
- Play the roles of Project Manager and/or Business Analyst depending on resource availability.
- Coordinate efforts to resolve issues and conflicts, escalating to senior management when necessary.
- Align projects with business and IT roadmaps, guiding project direction accordingly.
- Promote quality, innovation, positive customer experience, teamwork, and transparent communication regarding issues and opportunities.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with business partners and team members across the organization.
What you have :
- Experience in a corporate IT environment, preferably within telecommunications and in a B2B context.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of framing technical issues in business terms and explaining business concepts to technical audiences at all levels.
- Leadership and collaboration skills including teamwork, organization, adaptability, influence without authority, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Ability and motivation to learn Rogers Business products, operations, and underlying business needs driving IT requirements.
- A consulting mindset focused on solutions rather than order-taking.
- Experience in project planning, cost estimation, and spend forecasting.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies like Waterfall and Agile.
- Ability to write and evaluate IT requirements for quality and completeness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing vendors, including participation in RFPs and reviewing SOWs.
- Understanding of Rogers’ business and IT practices is a plus.
- Background in software delivery, project management, or business analysis; a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field is preferred. Certifications like PMP, CBAP, or Agile are assets.
