Position Summary:

We seek a dynamic Financial Business Partner to advise senior management and oversee department portfolios. Responsibilities include supporting budget development, accounting, financial modeling, and reporting. The role involves developing financial models, preparing reports, and managing variance and capital processes. You will serve as a liaison between departments and financial systems, conduct financial analysis, and provide strategic support to achieve departmental goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Support clients with financial analysis and planning, advising on policies, taxation, and controls.
2. Assist in business planning, opportunity analysis, and policy development for financial sustainability.
3. Oversee capital accounting and monitoring, and assist in budget development.
4. Conduct industry research for long-term financial planning.
5. Perform financial modeling and analysis to recommend performance improvements.
6. Lead reserve management aligned with the Long-Range Financial Plan.
7. Support collective bargaining with cost proposals.
8. Establish and implement cost accounting methodologies.
9. Develop financial reports and analyses for clients.
10. Develop and implement policies related to accounting and budgeting.
11. Monitor external agreements and funding compliance.
12. Build and maintain trust-based relationships within and outside the organization.
13. Participate in special studies, research, and stakeholder meetings to resolve financial issues.

Key Qualifications:

Lead small teams that interface between departments and financial systems. Guide financial modeling and supervise staff, contributing to workforce planning. Provide guidance, develop staff, and promote a culture of service excellence and professionalism.
