We are currently recruiting for a Content Claims Specialist - Field to join our Edjuster team in the Greater Vancouver area. The position location is flexible, with options for in-office, hybrid, or fully remote work arrangements. Edjuster is a division of Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc.
Role Overview
The Content Claims Specialist - Field role is multi-faceted, primarily focusing on four key areas within edjuster’s content claims handling operations:
- Serving as an intermediary between insurance property adjusters and policyholders, assisting with inventory and valuation of total loss contents caused by theft, water, fire, and other perils.
- Processing content claims accurately and promptly using edjuster’s claims handling methodology and platform – exclaim.
- Operating from a home-based office, with daily or weekly assignment of new claim files.
- Recording all claims handling activities, including hours worked and administrative duties.
Language Requirements
This role requires frequent interactions in English, including reading and preparing documents.
Compensation
Base rate: $24/hr
Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite visits to meet adjusters, policyholders, and vendors, and inventory total loss contents.
- Ensure timely and quality processing of claims according to company standards.
- Coordinate resources to complete inventory and LKQ valuation efficiently.
- Provide timely updates on the claims process to stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed logs of work activities daily.
- Document claim-related notes in the company platform, exclaim.
- Complete and price outstanding items accurately, adhering to LKQ standards.
- Promote edjuster’s brand professionally.
- Work in diverse conditions (cold, heat, rain, debris, etc.).
Qualifications
- Secondary School diploma.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in property claims is an asset.
- Provide a noise-free workspace and high-speed internet.
- Company equipment (laptop) will be provided; proper care is required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
- Regular travel to loss sites; occasional overnight travel covered by edjuster.
- Strong computer skills (Office 365, Windows 10).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Adaptability to change and new technology.
- Willingness to learn and improve.
