Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Content Claims Specialist - Field to join our Edjuster team in the Greater Vancouver area. The position location is flexible, with options for in-office, hybrid, or fully remote work arrangements. Edjuster is a division of Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc.

Role Overview

The Content Claims Specialist - Field role is multi-faceted, primarily focusing on four key areas within edjuster’s content claims handling operations:

  1. Serving as an intermediary between insurance property adjusters and policyholders, assisting with inventory and valuation of total loss contents caused by theft, water, fire, and other perils.
  2. Processing content claims accurately and promptly using edjuster’s claims handling methodology and platform – exclaim.
  3. Operating from a home-based office, with daily or weekly assignment of new claim files.
  4. Recording all claims handling activities, including hours worked and administrative duties.
Language Requirements

This role requires frequent interactions in English, including reading and preparing documents.

Compensation

Base rate: $24/hr

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct onsite visits to meet adjusters, policyholders, and vendors, and inventory total loss contents.
  2. Ensure timely and quality processing of claims according to company standards.
  3. Coordinate resources to complete inventory and LKQ valuation efficiently.
  4. Provide timely updates on the claims process to stakeholders.
  5. Maintain detailed logs of work activities daily.
  6. Document claim-related notes in the company platform, exclaim.
  7. Complete and price outstanding items accurately, adhering to LKQ standards.
  8. Promote edjuster’s brand professionally.
  9. Work in diverse conditions (cold, heat, rain, debris, etc.).
Qualifications
  1. Secondary School diploma.
  2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Experience in property claims is an asset.
  4. Provide a noise-free workspace and high-speed internet.
  5. Company equipment (laptop) will be provided; proper care is required.
  6. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
  7. Regular travel to loss sites; occasional overnight travel covered by edjuster.
  8. Strong computer skills (Office 365, Windows 10).
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. Adaptability to change and new technology.
  11. Willingness to learn and improve.
