We are currently recruiting for a Content Claims Specialist - Field to join our Edjuster team in the Greater Vancouver area. The position location is flexible, with options for in-office, hybrid, or fully remote work arrangements. Edjuster is a division of Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc.

The role of Content Claims Specialists is multi-faceted, focusing primarily on four key areas of edjuster’s content claims handling operations:

  1. Act as an intermediary between insurance property adjusters and policyholders, assisting with inventory and valuations of total loss contents caused by theft, water, fire, and other perils.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of content claims using edjuster’s claims handling methodology and content claims processing platform, exclaim.
  3. Operate from a home-based office, with daily or weekly assignment of new claim files.
  4. Record all claims handling activities and fulfill administrative duties diligently.

This role requires frequent interactions in English, including reading and preparing documents.

Base rate: $24/hr

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct onsite visits to meet adjusters, policyholders, and vendors, and inventory total loss contents.
  • Maintain quality and turnaround standards for claims processing.
  • Organize resources for inventory and valuation tasks efficiently.
  • Provide timely updates on claims status to stakeholders.
  • Complete daily work logs and maintain detailed claim notes in the platform.
  • Ensure accurate pricing of all items according to LKQ standards.
  • Promote edjuster’s brand professionally.
  • Work in diverse environmental conditions.
Qualifications
  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in property claims is an asset.
  • Reliable internet and personal workspace.
  • Company equipment provided; care and maintenance are the employee’s responsibility.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
  • Willingness to travel to loss sites, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Adaptability to change and new technology; eagerness to learn.
