Job description

CS is seeking several Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior Embedded Software Engineers. The role involves testing embedded safety-critical software applications in Aerospace or Defense Systems. There is potential for the role to evolve into leadership or software development positions.

The position is hybrid.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to both the client and our chief engineer, the tasks (not limited to) include:

1. Retro-engineering design from code
2. Conducting software testing (unit or integration) on complex software functions
3. Developing and executing tests on test platforms to verify design correctness
4. Debugging issues identified during the software development cycle
5. Ensuring traceability between software design and test artifacts
6. Conducting independent peer reviews of design, code, or tests produced by team members
7. Drafting all final technical documents
8. Providing clear status updates and workload reports to supervisors
9. Participating in continuous team performance improvement (quality, efficiency, on-time delivery)

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in ADA, C, or C++ programming languages

• Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Interest in troubleshooting complex software problems
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, and team-player attitude
• Curiosity, autonomy, proactivity, and problem-solving abilities
• Minimum 5 years of experience with testing tools such as LDRA, VectorCAST, or equivalent
• Experience with GreenHills tools is a plus
• S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computing Science, or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of DO-178B/C or equivalent standards
• Basic understanding of communication protocols such as CAN, ARINC, RS-422, Ethernet
• Software knowledge: Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN
