Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Photonics Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field and have at least 5 years of experience in photonic testing and measurement. Proficiency in Python, database management, and algorithm development is essential. This role involves leading the development and implementation of advanced testing protocols to ensure the performance, reliability, and quality of our laser solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced testing protocols for photonic components and systems.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and characterization of laser solutions to ensure compliance with performance standards.
- Design and optimize custom test setups and measurement systems tailored to specific project requirements.
- Analyze complex test data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and implement algorithms for data analysis and automation of testing processes.
- Manage and maintain test databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to integrate testing processes into product development cycles.
- Document test procedures, results, and findings in detailed technical reports and present them to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in photonics and semiconductor testing.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in photonic testing and measurement, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of photonic devices, laser systems, and optical components.
- Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in developing algorithms for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with database management and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, AWS, Python, C++).
- Expertise in using test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document and present technical information clearly.
