Position: Investment Associate (Trade Execution Specialist)

Located in White Rock, the RBC Dominion Securities branch is seeking an Investment Associate to join a successful Private Investment Management Team. You will execute all portfolio trading and support the Portfolio Manager in keeping portfolio models current.

Responsibilities

1. Execute trades and rebalance portfolios.
2. Exchange foreign currency as needed.
3. Maintain and update models weekly/monthly.
4. Review cash balances for investment or debit coverage.
5. Perform all trading activities for team members, including post-review portfolio changes, payments, EFTs, and wire transfers.
6. Forecast debits, ensuring cash balances for fees.
7. Maintain the Private Investment Management Dashboard and ensure client accounts align with their IPS.
8. Review and maintain daily reports on fund investments.
9. Execute reorganization notices as required.
10. Utilize social media skills to update communication channels like websites and newsletters.

Qualifications

Must-have:

• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH).
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the securities industry.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures.
• Highly developed technical skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $37,500 - $45,000, with potential discretionary/incentive payments up to 1.0x salary. Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, registration, performance, goals, market conditions, and business needs.
