Ottawa Public Health is responsible for providing public health programs and services that contribute to the physical mental health and well-being of the residents of Ottawa, in compliance with Ontario Ministry of Health standards, protocols and guidelines and other related public health legislation. In partnership with the people and communities of Ottawa, Ottawa Public Health improves and advocates for health and well-being through prevention, promotion and protection.
You are responsible for providing leadership in the foundational aspects of Ottawa Public Health’s operations which includes operational planning, strategic planning and oversight, performance measurement, risk management, policy development, quality improvement and evaluation and other related activities as needed. You will work within the Practice, Performance and Strategy Team, which is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary group of public health professionals committed to collaboration and innovation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCECompletion of Master’s degree in health related studies, administration, social science or the equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in research, policy and program development and analysis, project management and evaluation
Experience in a public health setting is desirable
