This role involves:

1. Designing and implementing new solutions and testing the resilience of the existing network environment.
2. Maintaining and administering computer networks, including hardware, software applications, and configurations.
3. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving potential network and system issues.
4. Monitoring performance and ensuring system availability and reliability.
5. Conducting regular maintenance tasks, such as managing security configurations, installing software patches, and performing network upgrades.
6. Collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure network operations meet expectations.
7. Ensuring connectivity across different networks.
8. Updating existing network equipment and advising on new system purchases.
9. Informing leadership and senior management about network status.
10. Protecting data through firewalls, security systems, and backups.
11. Planning ongoing network development.
12. Monitoring network usage.
