The Four Points by Sheraton - Kelowna Airport is currently looking for Banquet Servers.

We are also on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel. Our complimentary shuttle also picks up our employees from the bus loop at UBCO!

What will you be doing?

1. Set up and take down events according to Banquet Event Orders.
2. Greet and welcome client representatives and guests, responding to requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
3. Provide food & beverage service throughout the banquet.
4. Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.
5. Consistently offer professional, friendly, and warm hospitality to all guests.
6. Foster and practice teamwork and cooperation with all other positions existing in the hotel.
7. Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
8. Answer questions about food, beverages, wine, and other restaurant functions and services when necessary.
9. Monitor food quality and presentation standards.
10. Other duties as assigned or required.

What are we looking for?

1. Previous restaurant experience is an asset.
2. Valid Serving it Right Certificate (or willing to obtain upon hire).
3. High attention to detail with the ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to take direction and prioritize.
5. Strong oral and written communication skills.
6. Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum.
7. Must be available to work varied shifts; weekends, holidays, days, and evenings.
