Portfolio Manager – FinTech l Robo-Advisor

Location: Toronto

Work Model: Hybrid / Remote (1 day onsite)

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering and data science, working to enhance portfolio construction and refine investment strategies. With a strong business mindset, you’ll dive into the data and play a key role in influencing both client portfolios and the direction of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Portfolio Management: Own the construction, maintenance, and optimization of client portfolios. Use your insight to maximize performance and help shape the overall strategy.
• Investment Strategy Development: Lead the development of innovative investment strategies using data-driven insights, financial models, and AI-driven tools to stay ahead of market trends.
• Risk Management: Be proactive in assessing portfolio risk and adjusting strategies to safeguard against market volatility.
• Business Influence: Collaborate directly with leadership to inform and influence key business decisions that impact the company's growth trajectory.
• Market Research & Analysis: Stay ahead of the curve by researching market trends and spotting investment opportunities that align with the company’s vision and client goals.
• Client Engagement: Build trusted relationships with clients, offering transparent and insightful updates on portfolio performance and strategy.
• Collaboration & Innovation: Work alongside engineering and data science teams to continuously refine portfolio management processes and enhance automation capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered as a Portfolio Manager.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (CFA or MBA a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in portfolio management
• A strong grasp of asset allocation, risk management, and portfolio theory.
• Proficiency with investment tools and the ability to leverage data in decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills: confident translating complex ideas for a range of audiences.
• A collaborative, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
