Position Overview

The Manager will work with and manage a Canadian team of air ticketing agents dedicated to supporting leisure travel advisors and independents, with the goal of growing leisure air sales and resolving complex airline issues. The role involves collaboration with Direct’s Corporate Air Team to maximize revenue and override opportunities. The position reports to Sonya Hemmings, Senior Director of Leisure Operations, and works closely with the Leisure Sales team and US air desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class air ticketing service and support programs.
  • Handle general ticketing, including exchanges and refunds, with a focus on escalations to ensure revenue maximization and customer satisfaction.
  • Research and assist to reduce DMs.
  • Support the ongoing development and use of Direct Lift, the proprietary online booking tool for advisors.
  • Collaborate with the DSD desk for sales opportunities.
  • Review and improve content related to Hotels, Car Rentals, and NDC.
  • Provide training for Canadian advisors on the booking tools as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in US and Canadian air ticketing, with expert knowledge of Sabre and Apollo GDS platforms.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in airline ticketing.
  • Experience managing teams is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Legal authorization to work in US or Canada without restrictions.
