Qualifications

Role: Manager, Business Intelligence

You will play a key role in enhancing our Business Intelligence capabilities through robust data infrastructure and effective visualizations that transform raw data into actionable insights. Your expertise in guided analytics and data management will help establish a centralized reporting data model for Fraud Analytics, modernize dashboards to highlight emerging fraud trends, and inform fraud strategies. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with Fraud Analytics partners to understand business needs and translate requirements into dashboard solutions, including predictive analytics and proof of concepts.
  2. Establish a centralized semantic model to standardize dimensions and attributes, ensuring extensibility and future-proofing.
  3. Design Power BI frameworks that optimize content organization and user experience, incorporating UI/UX best practices.
  4. Work with Data Governance, Technology, and Architecture teams to automate and scale queries into decision support dashboards.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends in data visualization and analytics to ensure best practices are followed.
  6. Maintain BI assets post-release, address defects, monitor usage, and identify features to improve adoption.
  7. Use Agile methodologies for incremental delivery, participating in planning, retrospectives, and daily scrums.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence.
  3. 5+ years of SQL experience.
  4. 1+ years of Python scripting experience.
  5. Experience with Azure Cloud, Azure Data Factory, Power BI Dataflows, and Power Query.
  6. 2+ years developing Power BI visualizations and BI semantic modeling.
  7. Experience working in Scrum and Agile environments.
  8. Knowledge of MS Fabric and Lakehouse is an asset.
  9. Previous experience supporting Fraud strategy reporting is an asset.
  10. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
