Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Hydrogeologist to support environmental projects related to site assessment, risk management, and remediation of salt, petroleum hydrocarbons, and salinity-impacted sites.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting contaminated sites across Western and Northern Canada.
• Understanding Alberta regulatory frameworks; experience with other frameworks (CCME, SK, MB, BC, NWT) is an asset.
• Utilizing GIS and databases.
• Communicating with regulators and mentoring junior staff.
• Working flexibly between office and remote locations.

Activities include:

• Conceptual site modeling and data gap analysis.
• Risk assessment and salt contamination tools.
• Tier 2 site-specific guideline modifications.
• Groundwater modeling.
• Evaluating remedial technologies.
• Soil vapour intrusion assessments.

Required Skills:

• 4-year degree in a scientific discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in disciplines listed is an asset.
• Proficiency with relevant software applications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Eligibility for professional registration.

Desired Skills:

• Master’s degree or higher is a bonus.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Registered Professional Geologist or Engineer.
