About the role:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Equipment Operator IV will be responsible for the safe operation of D6 Dozers, 16M/H & 24M/H Graders, W800 Loaders, 40-ton Articulated Dump Trucks, as well as Komatsu 300/Cat 349 Backhoes.
The Equipment Operator IV will be required to provide operational support in areas such as water & snow management, road maintenance, sump maintenance, major pond maintenance, earth works projects and other equipment related tasks. The successful applicant will be willing to work as part of a small team and help where needed, including but not limited to labour duties i.e. washing pickup trucks, fueling trucks, assisting trades, etc. They will be required to complete standard first aid and confined space courses which will be provided by Cardinal River.
The position is site-based at our operations in Hinton, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Hinton, A.B. is necessary. Transportation of all employees between Hinton and the mine site shall be provided by the Employer at no cost to the employees.
Schedule: 4x4 shift rotation consisting of days and nights
