The location in Port Alberni, BC , is seeking talent to fill the position of Process Engineer . This job is full-time and permanent.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY :

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the process engineer is responsible for continually looking at ways to improve quality and operations.

The incumbent is responsible for driving the process of machine optimization and will work as a member of a team to provide continuous improvement. This position also provides technical support for the daily operation of the mill.

The Process Engineer works with maintenance and operations teams to ensure the achievement of safety, production, quality, cost and other joint objectives.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES :

• Identify ways to reduce costs.
• Improve production through process changes.
• Investigate new technologies and ways to apply to operations.
• Collaborate with customer service.
• Investigate quality issues.
• Develop methods to improve quality.
• Oversee all control testing.
• Technology transfer

P. Eng degree is a requirement.

Salary $100,000 - $115,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
