The Port Alberni, BC location is seeking talented individuals to fill the position of Process Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the Process Engineer is responsible for continually seeking ways to improve quality and operations. The incumbent will drive machine optimization processes and work as part of a team to facilitate continuous improvement. This role also provides technical support for daily mill operations.

The Process Engineer collaborates with maintenance and operations teams to ensure the achievement of MBOS objectives, including safety, involvement, production, quality, cost, and other joint goals.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Identify opportunities to reduce costs.
• Enhance production through process modifications.
• Research new technologies and explore their application to operations.
• Collaborate with customer service teams.
• Investigate quality issues and develop methods to improve quality.
• Supervise all control testing processes.
• Facilitate technology transfer.

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
