Overview

The E-Commerce Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution and coordination of Stormtech's digital marketing, commerce, and web operations, including Shopify and Commerce Cloud-based web environments.

This is an execution-focused role responsible for completing assigned website updates, product and content changes, SEO metadata inputs, product/content changes, digital merchandising updates, QA tasks, reporting pulls, and digital support tickets based on priorities set by the Director of Marketing.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and clear communication. Success in this role depends on keeping work visible, documenting issues clearly, escalating blockers early, and ensuring digital updates are completed accurately and on time. The E-Commerce Operations Coordinator works closely with the rest of the Marketing team and IT to support a reliable, accurate, and customer-friendly digital experience.

Key Responsibilities
Website Content, Product Updates and Digital Merchandising
  • Execute assigned updates to B2B and B2C website content, product pages, collections, navigation, imagery, links, landing pages and promotional areas.
  • Support Shopify B2C updates, including product content, metafields, collections, basic merchandising updates, promotional content, and content QA.
  • Support Salesforce B2B website updates, including assigned content, product, page, and customer-facing updates based on approved direction.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across digital touchpoints, including product information, imagery, links, pricing/display details, and page content.
  • Support digital product launches by ensuring assigned product pages, content, imagery, links, and related digital assets are accurate and ready on time.
  • Flag website, product, content, or merchandising issues that may affect customer experience or launch readiness.
  • Ensure updates are completed at the right level of detail without overcomplicating or delaying execution.
SEO and Content Hygiene
  • Input and update SEO metadata, page titles, descriptions, alt text, redirects, and related content fields based on direction.
  • Support basic SEO cleanup, content hygiene, broken link checks, and page accuracy projects.
  • Maintain consistency in page naming, metadata formatting, image alt text, and content fields.
  • Flag SEO, content, or page structure issues for review when they are outside the assigned scope.
  • Support ongoing digital content improvements based on approved priorities.
QA, UAT and Issue Tracking
  • Complete assigned QA and UAT checklists for website updates, new releases, product launches, landing pages, digital campaigns, and platform changes.
  • Review updates across desktop and mobile where applicable.
  • Check links, imagery, product information, page layout, navigation, forms, CTAs, and customer-facing content for accuracy.
  • Document issues clearly with screenshots, URLs, device/browser details, expected behaviour, actual behaviour, business impact, and recommended next steps.
  • Log, triage, and track website bugs or digital issues in Asana or the appropriate ticketing system.
  • Coordinate with IT on assigned tickets and follow through until next steps or resolution are clear.
  • Escalate blockers early with context, what has already been checked, and a recommended next step.
Reporting and Documentation
  • Pull recurring website, traffic, conversion, product, campaign, and digital performance reports from existing dashboards or tools.
  • Support basic reporting summaries based on direction from the Senior Brand & Marketing Manager or Digital Operations Specialist.
  • Maintain clear documentation of website updates, issues, completed work, QA notes, and recurring processes.
  • Keep assigned tasks current in Asana with status, next steps, blockers, timelines, and completion notes.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of SOPs, checklists, and process documentation for website updates, QA, issue tracking, and digital commerce workflows.
Digital Operations Support
  • Support day-to-day digital inbox requests and route items appropriately based on priority, platform, and owner.
  • Coordinate assigned web tasks with Marketing and IT.
  • Assist with digital campaign execution, landing page updates, ecommerce promotions, product launches, and related web support.
  • Maintain visibility into assigned digital tasks and ensure follow-up does not rely on others chasing status.
  • Support digital backlog cleanup by helping keep tasks organized, current, and actionable.
  • Bring forward concise findings, blockers, and recommendations when work is unclear, delayed, or outside scope.
Qualifications

  • Experience with Shopify, Commerce Cloud, or similar ecommerce/web platforms is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, website content, product data, digital merchandising, and digital customer experience.
  • Experience supporting product launches, website updates, QA, or digital campaign execution is an asset.

  • Experience with Shopify, Commerce Cloud, or similar ecommerce/CMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, email platforms, ecommerce reporting, or dashboard tools.
  • Comfortable working in Asana or similar project management tools.

  • Comfortable documenting issues clearly and escalating with context.
  • Practical thinker who can deliver at the right level of detail.
  • Able to follow SOPs, checklists, and established workflows.
  • Comfortable asking clarifying questions and flagging risks early.
  • Collaborative, responsive, and comfortable working across Marketing and IT.
  • Curious, adaptable, and open to feedback.
  • Customer-minded, with an interest in improving the accuracy, usability, and reliability of digital commerce experiences.
Nice To Have Experience
  • Apparel, promotional products, retail, or B2B ecommerce experience.
  • Experience with product information management systems or product data workflows.
  • Experience supporting both B2B and B2C digital commerce environments.
  • Experience with digital merchandising, product launches, or ecommerce promotions.
