Job summary

MacEwen Petroleum in Maxville, ON is seeking DZ Delivery Drivers for the winter season (November to March). This full-time seasonal role runs Sunday to Thursday and may include evenings, weekends, or on-call as required.

Starting pay is $31.15 per hour with fully paid training, overtime after 44 hours, and bonuses. Benefits include uniforms, vacation pay, RRSP matching, and growth opportunities. You will safely deliver petroleum products and keep accurate records.

Qualifications

• DZ certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years post-certification driving.
• Experience with liquid bulk delivery is desirable.
• Fuel haulage or delivery experience is highly desirable.
• PM3/PM4/PMH licenses are assets.
• Forklift and Boom Truck experience is an asset.
• Clean abstract and CVOR required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver petroleum products safely and on time to customers.
• Work Sundays–Thursdays with possible evenings and on-call shifts.
• Keep accurate delivery records and logbooks; manage dangerous goods paperwork.
• Assist with skid tank delivery/setup when required.
• Maintain truck, cab, cleanliness, and participate in safety checks.
• Communicate with dispatch and suggest safety/improvement ideas.

OVERVIEW:

MacEwen Petroleum is a rapidly growing, diversified company focused on long-term success. We’re looking for experienced, DZ Delivery Drivers to join our teams in Maxville, ON for the winter season (November to the end of March). This full-time seasonal position is based on a Sunday through Thursday schedule which may include occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call as required.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Ensure safe and timely delivery of petroleum products to commercial and residential customers.


• Perform day shifts during the workweek and occasionally on weekends as part of the compensated on-call schedule.


• Ensure accurate record-keeping, including product delivery, maintenance of logbooks, and transportation of dangerous goods reports.


• Assist with the delivery and set-up of customer skid tanks when required.


• Perform mandatory circle checks, and maintain the truck, cab, uniform and work location clean.


• Along with performing mandatory circle checks, maintain the cleanliness of the truck, cab, and work location.


• Share all pertinent information with dispatch, including improvement suggestions for safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.


• Assist with the delivery of lubricants and other products and equipment, when required.


• Adhere to all legal and company regulations affecting the operation of motor vehicles.


• Perform other duties as required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Education and Experience Required:

• Valid DZ certification is required.


• Minimum of (3) years post-certification driving required.


• Experience driving liquid bulk is desirable.


• Fuel haulage and/or delivery experience is highly desirable.


• PM3, PM4, or PMH licenses are considered an asset.


• Forklift and Boom Truck experience is an asset.


• Mechanical inclination is required.


• Must possess a clean 'abstract' and acceptable CVOR.

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds; position requires frequent bending and moving heavy loads.


• Ability to work evenings and weekends, on occasion.


• Out-of-town travel may be required.


• Willingness to be cross-trained in delivering multiple products, equipment, etc.
