Job summary

Messer in Canada is hiring a Driver to safely deliver gas products and hardgoods to local customers, maintaining professional representation during daily routes and adhering to schedule.

You will operate a heavy vehicle (Class 3/DZ) with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and engage in order processing, load balancing, and safety compliance while enjoying benefits and opportunities within a stable, growth‑oriented company.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
• Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience.
• Ability to lift and handle goods up to 60 lbs.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform multiple deliveries of gas products and hardgoods to local customers.
• Balance cylinder load sheets and daily records.
• Use handheld devices to process deliveries and reconcile inventory.
• Comply with government regulations and vehicle policy.
• Maintain and inspect vehicles, report safety hazards.

Whatyou’lldo:

As one of our Drivers,you’llbe drivinga well-maintainedvehicle while also professionallyrepresentingour organization to our customers.This position is for people motivatedtodriveheavy vehicles (Class 3/DZ License)and provide excellent customer service.Your responsibilities will include:

• Multipledeliveries(requiring loading and unloading of cylinders)/ day (5- or 10-tontruck) of gas products and hardgoods to local customers within the assigned geographical area
• Balancing cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder records
• Some administration dutiesincludethe use of handheld technology to process deliveries and reconcile agent consignment inventory balances
• Comply withall government regulations
• Maintaining vehicles as per company vehicle policy,observingsafety requirements, andwearingsafety equipment and report safety hazards to supervisor

What it takes:

• Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience with recognized driving school training or3years driving experience
• MinimumGrade 12 education or equivalentexperience
• A clean driving abstract (abstract to be readily available tosubmit, when asked)
• Ability to handle and lift goods up to60 lbs.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Assets to have:

• Knowledge of the gas and/orwelding industry
• Experience usinghandheldelectronic devices
• WHMIS/TDG certification
