Job summary

Messer Canada Inc. is seeking a driver to operate a well-maintained vehicle and represent the company with customers. This role requires Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes and clean driving history, plus the ability to lift up to 60 lbs and provide excellent service.

Responsibilities include multiple deliveries, documentation, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. A 40-hour work week with day shifts Monday to Friday is typical, with uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience with recognized driving school training or 3 years driving experience.
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to handle and lift goods up to 60 lbs.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers gas products and hardgoods to local customers within the assigned area (daily).
• Balances cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder records; uses handheld tech to process deliveries and reconcile inventories.
• Complies with government regulations.
• Maintains vehicles per policy and reports safety hazards.

Whatyou’lldo:

As one of our Drivers,you’llbe drivinga well-maintainedvehicle while also professionallyrepresentingour organization to our customers.This position is for people motivatedtodriveheavy vehicles (Class 3/DZ License)and provide excellent customer service.Your responsibilities will include:

• Multipledeliveries(requiring loading and unloading of cylinders)/ day (5- or 10-tontruck) of gas products and hardgoods to local customers within the assigned geographical area
• Balancing cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder recordsSome administration dutiesincludethe use of handheld technology to process deliveries and reconcile agent consignment inventory balances
• Comply withall government regulations
• Maintaining vehicles as per company vehicle policy,observingsafety requirements, andwearingsafety equipment and report safety hazards to supervisor

What it takes:

• Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience with recognized driving school training or3years driving experience
• MinimumGrade 12 education or equivalentexperience
• A clean driving abstract (abstract to be readily available tosubmit, when asked)
• Ability to handle and lift goods up to60 lbs.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Assets to have:

• Knowledge of the gas and/orwelding industry
• Experience usinghandheldelectronic devices
• WHMIS/TDG certification
