Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a DZ Boom Truck Driver for the Yorkwest Woodbridge location to safely deliver materials to customer sites, branches and warehouses. You will load, strap, and transport items while maintaining safety and service standards, with a focus on meeting tight delivery schedules.

Required: valid DZ license, boom truck crane operator certification, minimum 3 years driving, and a clean driving record. Crane and forklift certifications are assets; WHMIS/TDG knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class DZ license required.
• Valid Boom Truck Crane Operator Certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of truck driving experience.
• Minimum 2 years crane experience an asset.
• Valid Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck Certification is an asset.
• Clean driver’s abstract required (no tickets/points/at-fault in last 3 years).
• WHMIS and TDG certification would be an asset.
• Forklift certified or ability to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Transport material to and from customer sites between branches and other locations.
• Obtain necessary shipping documentation for the route.
• Load items into truck while meeting delivery schedules.
• Consolidate items and skids to maximize space using a pump truck.
• Secure material to prevent damage during transport.

The Opportunity

Join the Yorkwest Woodbridge location as a DZ Boom Truck Driver, responsible for safely delivering materials to customer sites, branches, and warehouses. We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused professional with a valid DZ license, boom truck crane operator certification, strong driving experience, and the ability to safely load, unload, and transport materials while maintaining excellent service standards.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for transporting material to and from customer sites between branches and other locations
• Obtain necessary shipping documentation related to the assigned route
• Load items and orders into truck while adhering to a sometimes tight to delivery schedule
• Consolidate items and skids to maximize space in the truck using a pump truck to load material
• Strap and/or secures material so that there is no damage or breakage to the material during transport
• Deliver orders to customers’ facilities, construction sites other branches or warehouses using the most effective itinerary or assigned itinerary
• Unload products according to the destination’s applicable rules
• Responsible for obtaining a signature of acknowledgment of delivery

What You Will Bring

• Valid Class DZ license required
• Valid Boom Truck Crane Operator Certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of truck driving experience
• Minimum 2 years crane experience an asset
• Valid Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck Certification is an asset
• Clean driver’s abstract is required )No traffic tickets, no points, and no “at-fault” accidents within the last 3 years)
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative
• Able to regularly lift up to fifty (50lbs) pounds
• Valid Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck Certification is an asset
• WHMIS and TDG certification would be an asset
• Forklift certified or ability to be certified
